The iconic off-roader has just been refreshed – with new styling, a new infotainment system, further off-road upgrades, and many more. All that clearly indicates that the 2025 Jeep Wrangler, which will come just a year after, is about to bring no significant changes. Instead, we are about to see a familiar layout, which now seems better than ever, thanks to the recent changes. The new SUV is more modern and more capable, so we have no doubt it will remain competitive on the market for years to come.
Some sources were suggesting the launch of the all-electric Wrangler, which makes sense considering that the company already introduced a couple of concepts. However, that won’t happen, at least not in the current generation, because the company is preparing a brand-new Jeep Recon, which will take the place of an all-electric off-roader in the company’s lineup.
With no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2025 Jeep Wrangler will arrive in a typical time of year, sometime in the second half of 2024.
2025 Jeep Wrangler Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2025 Jeep Wrangler will most likely be a typical carryover model. Simply, the 2024 model has just debuted and it comes with a nice portion of subtle but very effective changes. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the styling. You can easily notice the new iteration of the legendary seven-slot grille, which feels bolder, more aggressive, and more modern. The front bumper has also been revised and now features a new shape, as well as an 8.000-pound winch in the Rubicon trim.
Aside from the new wheels, the rest of the SUV remains largely the same, at least when it comes to aesthetics. In terms of mechanics, most models continue in the same way, though the Rubicon trim gets a big upgrade in the form of a fully-floating Dana axle, which replaces the semi-floating unit. This makes the SUV more durable during off-road rides and easier to repair. Moreover, it also has a positive effect on the max towing capacity, which goes up to 5.000 pounds.
Interior
On the inside, the 2025 Jeep Wrangler will also continue in the same way as the updated 2024 model. The recent update has brought one important novelty – a new infotainment screen. All models now come with a massive 12.3-inch unit, which replaces the old, much smaller screens and besides better graphics, also offers more features, including wireless smartphone integration and a new navigation system with more than 2.000 trail maps. Also, there are new 12-way power-adjustable seats, for the first time in a Wrangler.
Other than that, things remain largely the same. This SUV once again comes in two layouts, either as a 2- or 4-door SUV. The smaller one obviously offers less space on the inside but it is actually a better off-roader, thanks to the significantly shorter wheelbase. On the other hand, the four-door model is a real family-friendly off-roader, with a lot of passenger and cargo space.
2025 Jeep Wrangler Engines
As for the powertrain, things remain largely unchanged, though we have to mention that the hybrid version has become cheaper because it’s now available in the lower Sport S trim level. On the other hand, the specs remain unchanged. This system is based on a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine, with a max output of 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
The rest of the lineup also continues in the same way. The offer starts with the good old 3.6-liter V6 that puts out 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. And, unlike the rest of the lineup, which comes only with an 8-speed automatic, this one is also available with a 6-speed manual.
The first upgrade comes in the form of a smaller an more efficient 2.0-liter turbo-four, which puts out 270 horsepower but offers a pretty nice 295 pound-feet of torque.
Finally, there is the Wrangler Rubicon 392, with a starting price of nearly 90.000 dollars, which features a massive 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, with a max output of 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
2025 Jeep Wrangler Release Date and Price
With no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2025 Jeep Wrangler will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the next year. As for the price, we expect base models to go around 34.000 dollars.
