The famous SUV is about to once again come in a military-themed version, to pay a tribute to the U.S. Army. This seems natural, considering that this model evolved from Jeep’s WWII vehicle. For this occasion, we are about to see an upgraded version of the current-generation Wrangler, which has been around for a couple of years. Upgrades will be predominately visual, though we should see a couple of exclusive features as well. Another thing we should mention is that 250 dollars of each 2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition will be donated to the USO.
2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition Design and Features
As we’ve just mentioned, this is a military-themed version of the famous SUV, so you may presume there are some pretty interesting details to come. Of course, the most prominent details is the famous military star decal on the hood. Other than that, you can count on U.S. flags on the fenders, above Jeep logos, while the rear end will get Oscar Mike badge on the rear tailgate. At this point, we know that there will also be a nice amount of additional features that don’t necessarily have something with the Army. Those are things like unique 17-inch wheels, black Sunrider roof, tinted rear windows, side steps etc.
Another thing we should mention is that the Freedom Edition will come in both body styles, both in a two-door and four-door Unlimited versions. When it comes to color options, you may count on multiple choices. There are finishes like Firecracker Red, Bright White and Ocean Blue. Later in the year, we also expect to see versions in Black, Granite Crystal, Sting Gray, Billet, Punk’n, Hellayella and Bikini finishes.
When it comes to interior design, this version will come with exclusive McKinley black cloth seats that come in a combination with leather bolsters. Count on “Oscar Mike” logos as well. Also, count on Light Tungsten stitching in various areas of the cabin, including seats, steering wheel, dashboard etc. Other than that, you may count on a typical Wrangler interior design. As we’ve already mentioned, both two- and four-door versions will be in the offer.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition will come with a decent amount of standard equipment. This model is based on the Sport S trim, which comes with a couple of upgrades compared to the base Sport trim. The first thing we should mention is that, although a 5-inch touchscreen is standard, you can also get a bigger 7-inch unit. The list of standard equipment also includes things like air conditioning, power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, heated side mirrors etc. You can also add things like blind-spot monitoring, park assist, 9-speaker Alpine audio system etc.
2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition Engines
A great thing to know about the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition is that all engine options will be available. Of course, a well-known 3.6-liter V6 with 285 horsepower will be standard, along with a 6-speed manual. A 2.0-liter turbo-four is also available, with a max output of 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Of course, the automatic gearbox is also available.
Later in the year, we also expect to see a diesel variant, with a new version of a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel, which is good for about 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque.

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition is expected to arrive in a couple of weeks. The starting price will go around 34.200 dollars for the two-door version, while the Unlimited will go around 37.700 dollars. As we already mentioned, $250 will be donated to the USO.
