2024 RAM 1500 Facelift Rumors and Expectations

These days, everyone talks about the all-electric RAM 1500, which is about the hit the market next year, as a 2024 model year. What about the “regular” 1500? At this point, we still don’t know much about it but if we consider that the current generation has been around for a while, as well as that the competition has been updated significantly, there is a real chance to see some interesting novelties for the 2024 RAM 1500. At this point, the officials are still quiet, so make sure to take the following paragraphs with a big reserve.

In any case, what we expect to see from that model is a typical mid-cycle refresh. Such an update would bring novelties in various aspects, starting from the new styling. Interior changes are possible too, while we wouldn’t exclude the possibility to see some mechanical upgrades as well. This particularly refers to new engine options, considering that the company has just introduced new inline-six turbo units.

As we’ve just mentioned, the 2024 RAM 1500 could easily receive a mid-cycle refresh. While there is still no official confirmation, we presume that the styling changes would be the core of this update. At this point, we can only make predictions and we predict that most of the changes would come to the front end. We could see things like a new grille design, new bumper, new headlights etc. All these things would be designed in a bolder and more rugged manner, in order to make this truck look more attractive.

The rest of the vehicle might receive novelties too, but on a smaller scale, we presume. In any case, the mechanical aspect of the truck shouldn’t change much, especially if we consider that the current version already offers impressive ride quality. This truck is smooth and comfortable but at the same time, it offers impressive towing and payload capabilities.

Interior

The same thing is with interior design. This is another aspect where RAM 1500 is a class leader. The overall cabin quality is impressive, whether it’s about materials or attention to detail. So, we don’t expect to see too many changes in this aspect. On the other hand, we might see things like new color schemes, as well as more tech features, particularly in terms of the digital instrument cluster, bigger infotainment screen (even though the current model is already available with a massive 12.0-inch unit), new connectivity features etc.

The 2024 RAM 1500 should carry on in familiar configurations. You can choose between quad cab or crew cab models, while there are also two-bed sizes on offer. Quad cab models come with long 6.4-foot beds, while crew cab models can be configured with either long beds or short beds. The latter is 5.7-foot long.

2024 RAM 1500 Engines

Novelties under the hood are expected too. We believe that this mid-cycle update could bring new inline-six engines to the offer. Codenamed Hurricane, these units feature 3.0 liters in displacement and come in several output variants. So far, the company presented two variants, with 420 and 510 horsepower.

Other than that, we presume that the rest of the lineup will remain the same. So, the offer should start with the good-old 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 305 horsepower. Also, you may count on a 5.7-liter HEMI V8, which is good for 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The diesel version should remain on offer as well. That model features a 3.0-liter turbodiesel, which puts out around 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, offering pretty impressive fuel economy that goes around 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

Finally, the TRX models should continue with the super-capable 6.2-liter Hellcat engine, which puts out 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

All engines will come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

We expect that the 2024 RAM 1500 will hit the market sometime in the second half of 2023, with a starting price of around 35.000 dollars. Of course, Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado will remain the key competitors.

I’m anxious to see what you are adding for color options, I sure hope they’re going to be bright and colorful instead of the usual grey, white, and black. Metallic colors of bright blues, cherry Red, and Bright metallic Purple so they can be seen coming down the road. This is also additional safety so people can’t say they don’t see you.
I love my 2021 Ram Rebel, just wish I could get it in a bright metallic purple or blue. There is one thing I won’t be getting again and that is the brake assist, which has been a pain in the assist. It stops the truck when backing up if there is anything near the driveway or if the driveway has an elevated pitch to it. Scares the bejeebers out of one.
My lease is up within the next few months so I’d like to see what I might like to order or if I’m going to have to change to a chevy or something to get the bright color I want.

I just thought of something else, on my Rebel, there are gaps between the bed cover and the tailgate where the top of the side panels of the Ram box ends. Snow gets in and so does rain. Need to come up with a solution to fix that. Please
