2024 Jeep Wrangler Magneto Electric SUV: What We Know So Far

Jeep has been working on electrification for a while and we have no doubt that the first serial production models will start to come out from the factory line in the near future. This refers to many of the existing nameplates in the current lineup, including the legendary off-roader – Wrangler. At this point, we don’t know too many details about the production model but we can rely on previous concepts in some measure, whether it’s about the powertrain or the overall design. The all-electric model could arrive already in the next year, as the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Magneto Electric SUV.

Of course, the most prominent thing about this SUV would be its powertrain, but we count on improvements and enhancements in other aspects as well, just like in the concept. The electric Wrangler may feature bigger dimensions and several more modifications.

Of course, the most interesting thing about the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Magneto Electric SUV will be its powertrain. We will see an all-electric setup, though we still don’t know the details. So far, we have seen two concept versions and both came with pretty interesting setups. The initial version was equipped with a 285-hp electric motor, mounted on the front axle. Interestingly, the motor was paired with a six-speed manual transmission, something that’s very untypical for electric cars.

The second concept brought a similar overall approach but way more power. It was equipped with an electric motor that puts out 625 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque and once again, we saw a manual gearbox. Also, this concept came equipped with four battery packs, spread around the chassis, for better weight distribution. The total capacity was 70 kWh.

We are not sure if the production version would feature something similar. Some sources suggest a more conventional setup, with a single battery pack and a single transmission. At this point, the officials are still quiet.

Once again, it’s still early for the exact details but we presume that the production model could rely on the concepts to some point. This particularly refers to the overall layout. The concept came in a two-door layout, though with a significant size increase, including a 12-inch longer wheelbase. The concept also came with lots of exclusive styling details, such as custom lightweight bumpers, carbon-fibre wheel flares, Surf Blue paint, a custom carbon-fibre B-pillar, a custom bikini top, and a carbon-fibre hood with blue-tinted, transparent hood etc.

Moreover, we also saw a lot of important off-road upgrades. Some of the highlights are an off-road suspension, a custom 3-inch lift kit, 40-inch off-road tires mounted on 20-inch wheels, Dynatrac 60 Pro-Rock front axle and a massive Pro-Rock Dynatrac 80 rear axle with a 5.38 ratio and lockers for both axles, custom driveshaft and more.

Interior

The interior would probably feature some notable changes compared to the concept version. For example, we are pretty sure that the production version will feature the second row of seats. Also, we are pretty sure that the four-door model will come as well. On the other hand, we might see the same color scheme and most of those exclusive features found in the concept.
