2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules Rumors and Expectations

Mid-size pickups are hot again, especially after a couple of big comebacks we’ve been witnessing in the past few years. Besides big comebacks, we also saw the launch of a brand-new Jeep Gladiator, which came with a pretty unique design and many other strong features and design solutions. However, it looks like Jeep management expected more from this pickup, even though sales numbers are pretty decent. So, we may see a completely new version, which would certainly popularize this pickup even more. Of course, we are talking about the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules, which has been in talks for a few years.

While there is still no officials confirmation, many believe that this pickup is under development. Rumors suggest all kinds of upgrades, starting from the mechanics, styling and exclusive features. However, the most interesting part would probably be the engine, as most experts suggest eight cylinders.

2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules Design

In terms of base design characteristics, this model wouldn’t be any different compared to the rest of the lineup. We would see a familiar Wrangler-based design, though a lot of upgrades would be offered as well. This would be a new flagship model, which would offer even better off-road performance than the Rubicon, which already comes with a full load of off-road features. It comes with things like locking differentials, disconnecting sway bars, off-road tires, suspension upgrades and many other things.

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules would come with all these things, but also with some further upgrades, in terms of further suspension upgrades, bigger tires and similar things. Also, there’s no doubt that this version would also come with a couple of exclusive styling details, such as unique “Hercules” graphics, exclusive color options and similar things.

Interior

On the other hand, the inside of this pickup would bring too many changes, we believe. We expect that the cabin design would remain largely the same, though there is always room for exclusive details, such as “Hercules” badges around the cabin, exclusive materials and color schemes.

Also, keep in mind that this would be a pretty expensive version of the pickup. Therefore, there’s no doubt that the list of standard equipment would be very long. We count on tech goodies like an 8.4-inch touch screen, navigation, HD Radio, satellite radio, a nine-speaker stereo, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, as well as on all kinds of convenience features, such as automatic climate control, power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry, proximity keyless entry, and remote start.

2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules Engines

As we already mentioned, the biggest upgrade would come in terms of powertrain. The current pickup is available only with a 3.6-liter gasoline engine and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel. The 2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules would probably come with eight cylinders.

This means it would use the same engine as the Wrangler Rubicon 392. That would be a large 6.4-liter V8 HEMI engine, which puts out around 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The engine would come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and there is no doubt that the overall performance would be impressive. Of course, the four-wheel drive would be standard, while we also count on a two-speed transfer case.

2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules Release Date and Price

At this point, the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Hercules is just a rumor. The officials are still quiet, so the chances to see this model in the future aren’t too big. Still, we won’t neglect unofficial reports that suggest this pickup could arrive already by the end of this year. If it arrives, we estimate that the base price would go around 75.000 dollars.

My 2018 JLUR and 2021 JL Sport S would turn into a V8 Gladiator in a heart beat to park along side the 2022 JLR.
