However, the latest reports suggest that the electric Pacifica won’t come so soon and that the current generation will remain in production for a few more years. This indicates that the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica, which could easily be the final production model of the current ICE generation, will feature no significant changes. Instead, we expect to see a familiar design, with familiar characteristics and features.
This means that we expect to see a minivan that has a lot of great things to offer, starting from capable and efficient powertrains. We also like Pacifica because of its nice interior and a long list of standard and available equipment. The ride is smooth and composed, and while the cargo area is pretty generous, the biggest complaint goes to the model’s high starting price.
As there are no significant changes to come, we don’t expect to see the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica before the second half of 2023.
2024 Chrysler Pacifica Design
Design-wise, the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica shouldn’t feature notable changes. The current generation may be around for a while, but it is still quite competitive in most segments. It offers a smooth and comfortable ride, while you can also opt for all-wheel drive, which isn’t the case with most minivans on the market.
In terms of styling, the current model looks quite fresh and competitive, which is no wonder considering the last year’s facelift. The new aesthetics are way more attractive than before and the current version even coquettes with the SUV segment in some aspects of the exterior design. So, the best we could see from the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica in terms of novelties are minor updates, such as new color options, or maybe a new appearance package.
Interior
The recent facelift has also brought a new dashboard design, which looks more upscale than before. The new model will continue in the same way, with an attractive dashboard design that combines nice aesthetics with quality materials and a lot of tech features. The rest of the cabin is also wrapped with nice materials and features good build quality.
The standard Pacifica accommodates seven passengers, but you can opt for a small middle seat in the second row, which increases capacity to eight. In any case, the seats are massive and supportive and provide good comfort on long journeys.
Like a proper minivan, this model also offers a pretty generous cargo volume. Among updates, you can find things like navigation, a 19-speaker stereo, HD Radio, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, additional USB ports, a rear-seat camera (FamCam), a rear-seat entertainment system with two 10.1-inch touch screens, Amazon Fire compatibility, panoramic sunroof and an integrated vacuum cleaner (Stow ‘n Vac). We presume that some of these things could become standard in the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica.
2024 Chrysler Pacifica Engines
The powertrain lineup will certainly remain the same. So, standard models will continue with a good-old 3.6-liter V6, which puts out around 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. That’s plenty enough for strong driving dynamics but you can also count on pretty decent fuel economy. Base models return around 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, which is pretty good for the segment. AWD models are slightly thirstier and return around 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
The available hybrid version combines a V6 engine with an electric motor and provides around 260 horsepower. Driving dynamics are good but fuel economy is even better. You may count on about 30 mpg combined, which is great for a minivan. Also, you may count on 32 miles of the all-electric range.
The gasoline model comes with a 9-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid uses a CVT.
2024 Chrysler Pacifica Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2024 Chrysler Pacifica will arrive sometime in the second half of 2023, with a starting price of around 38.000 dollars. The hybrid should be available at around $48.000.
