After the recent update, which has brought a lot of interesting novelties, it is expected that the current Pacifica remains in production for a few more years. Allegedly, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica will be the last model year of the generation, so we don’t expect there could be bigger changes. The overall layout would certainly remain the same, while the only possible changes are the minor ones, such as new features, new color options and similar things.
With changes or not, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica will keep the same overall layout. In other words, you may count on a familiar minivan, which still has a lot of good things to offer, despite it’s been around since 2016. We like its spacious and functional cabin, available AWD, long list of standard equipment and pretty engaging handling for a minivan. We presume that the launch date will be scheduled for the second half of 2022.
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Design
As we’ve just mentioned, rumors suggest that the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica will represent the last production year of the current generation. If that happens, we have no doubt that this would be a typical carryover model, which rides on a familiar Compact US Wide platform.
Of course, it will feature all the changes that were introduced with the last year’s refresh. This particularly refers to the styling, as the new version looks way better than before. It features much sharper lines, especially at the front, where you can see a pair of futuristic headlights and a prominent grille, along with an aggressively shaped bumper. The overall shape has also been revised and the new version also brings a little bit of crossover stance to the table.
So, the only possible changes for the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica would be typical yearly updates, such as new color options and similar things.
Interior
The same thing goes for interior design. The cabin has been updated last year, with the mid-cycle refresh. We saw novelties in various aspects but the biggest one is definitely the new dashboard. It features a slightly revised shape, new materials and a new 10.1-inch high-resolution touchscreen display. Other than that, things are largely the same as in the pre-facelifted model.
In other words, you may count on a practical and spacious cabin, which comes with three comfortable rows of seats. Each row accommodates adults with ease, though we have to say that the seats are a little bit firmer than you would expect, especially the front ones.
Besides the plenty of passenger space, this minivan also offers a lot of cargo room. You may count on about 32.3 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 87.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and a total of 140.5 cubic feet with both of these rows folded. While those are pretty good numbers, rivals like Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna offer more. However, the Pacifica is the only model in the class that comes with seats that fold down completely flat.
Features
This aspect will probably bring a couple of interesting novelties but most of the things should remain the same. Things should be pretty much the same as in the current model, which comes standard with goodies like tri-zone climate control, a 10.1-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, wireless Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker sound system, satellite radio, HD Radio, a USB port, and Bluetooth.
Among options, you can find things like navigation, a 13-speaker Alpine stereo, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, additional USB ports, an overhead DVD player, a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hot spot, a Famcam, vacuum cleaner, sunroof etc.
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Engines
Changes under the hood are not coming for the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. We count on two familiar powertrain options on the offer, starting from a well-known 3.6-lite V6, which puts out around 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Of course, there is also a plug-in hybrid version, based on the same V6 engine, with a total output of around 260 horsepower. Both models come in pair with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which does a pretty fine job.
When it comes to fuel economy, the standard engine returns around 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Models with AWD are thirstier and you may count on about 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The plug-in hybrid returns around 30 mpg combined, while you may also count on 32 miles in the all-electric range.
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Release Date and Price
We expect that the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica will come sometime in the second half of 2022, with a starting price of around 36.000 dollars. Chrysler also offers a more affordable minivan, called Voyager, which features the pre-facelifted look of the Pacifica and less equipment.
