2022 Dodge Ram Hellcat Rumors and Expectations

If we can rely on the latest reports, it looks like the next year will bring a facelift of the company’s famous pickup truck. It should bring a lot of novelties and these changes should be implemented into the recently introduced Rebel TRX as well. Does this mean just visual changes or we are about to see something more? It’s hard to give the right answer at this moment but we will discuss all possibilities for the 2022 Dodge Ram Hellcat.

The only thing we could say for sure at this point is that the Rebel TRX would keep the same form. Of course, there will be some changes in terms of the styling and overall appearance. A couple of tweaks to the chassis are possible too, but the overall layout would remain the same. On the other side, we could also see this engine in the offer for a more civilized, street version, reports say.

As we’ve just mentioned, the upcoming 2022 model is about to bring some updates. At this point, we still don’t know the details but we presume that the focus will be on visual improvements. The current model looks good, but it would definitely benefit from a more rugged appearance. This includes the Rebel model, which adds a lot of visual upgrades, starting from wheels, blacked grille etc.

More importantly, the Rebel adds various off-road features. Some of the highlights are things like locking differential, tow hooks, and a performance suspension system with a 2-inch lift kit. We presume that things won’t change too much in this aspect.

On the other side, what might be interesting is the addition of a more “civilized” version with the Hellcat engine. Instead of Rebel TRX, it would be simply called 2022 Dodge Ram Hellcat, rumors say. This version won’t put the focus on off-road capabilities. It would rather come as a kind of a street racer, with stiffer suspension and lower ground clearance. Visually, it would rather feature a chrome grille, like the Limited trim, we presume. More details should come soon.

Interior and Features

Even if the new 2022 Dodge Ram Hellcat arrives, we don’t expect there will be too many changes on the inside. Simply, the new model already looks pretty amazing on the inside and it is by far the most luxurious truck on the market. The Rebel TRX isn’t much different but it comes with some extra features compared to the standard model.

Some of the things you can find in the Rebel TRX are a 12-inch touch screen and a 10-speaker audio system and we don’t expect to see too many changes after the facelift. Still, keep in mind that the current model comes with a lot of options and some of them could easily become standard in the 2022 Dodge Ram Hellcat. Leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel are some of the things that come to mind. Furthermore, the current list of options includes safety features like blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view parking camera system, wireless device charging, ventilated front seats, and heated and ventilated rear seats. Some of these could become standard next year.

Of course, the most interesting aspect of the 2022 Dodge Ram Hellcat will remain under the hood. We are talking about the well-known 6.2-liter Supercharged V8 Hellcat engine, which has been around for years, in models like Challenger and Charger. The company has recently started to install it in crossovers and SUVs as well, while Ram’s premiere happened last year. For this occasion, it is tuned to 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. It comes in pair with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which includes paddle shifters as well. With such an amount of power, you may count on impressive acceleration and overall performances, including a 0-60 in less than four seconds.
