2023 Ram Rebel TRX Could Get Even More Power

Ram 1500 has always been famous for its amazing performances and capabilities but the Rebel TRX really amazed the automotive world. With more than 700 horsepower and impressive on and off-road performances, this pickup is out of this world. However, the rival from Blue Oval company prepares a new version of the F-150 Raptor, which could feature even more power, so it’s no wonder that Ram prepares an answer. From what we know so far, the light-duty pickup is about to receive a facelift and big changes will come to the 2023 Ram Rebel TRX as well.

Although the officials are still quiet, we believe that the 2023 Ram Rebel TRX is about to bring a whole bunch of interesting novelties. Of course, some of the first things that come to mind are new styling details, but we also count on a more powerful version of the Hellcat engine, as well as some modifications on the drivetrain.

2023 Ram Rebel TRX Engine

One of the most important upgrades, according to rumors, will be a more powerful version of the engine on the offer. The standard TRX puts out impressive 702 horsepower and some sources that we are about to see an even more capable version, just like we saw more capable versions of Challenger and Charger Hellcat variants. At this point, it’s still early to talk about numbers but we believe that the new version would get pretty close to 800 horsepower.

The new engine will also come in pair with an 8-speed ZF-sourced automatic transmission, which is one of the best units in the business right now. However, we might see some changes regarding the drivetrain. As you may know, the current model comes standard with four-wheel drive and many enthusiasts don’t like the fact that you can’t put all that power to the rear wheels. We doubt that the company will offer an RWD version of the 2023 Ram Rebel TRX, but we might see a new mode selector, which would add rear-wheel drive to the offer.

2023 Ram Rebel TRX Design

When it comes to the overall design, we presume that the 2023 Ram Rebel TRX will adopt all the changes that are about to come with the upcoming facelift. Besides general aesthetical updates, we will see a plethora of exclusive details.

Still, the Rebel TRX has always been more about what’s under the skin. We presume that a few modifications could be made in this aspect as well, but we are pretty sure that most of the things are about to remain the same. Therefore, you may count on an upgraded suspension, which comes with Bilstein adaptive dampers and offers higher ground clearance. Furthermore, there are 35-inch all-terrain tires, upgraded brakes, upgraded engine cooling system, skid plates, performance exhaust system etc. Also, you may count on the locking rear differential.

Interior

What we like about the current version is that the interior offers a lot of customization options. For example, base models come with the same level of equipment as the standard REbel, which means that you may count on cloth upholstery and pretty basic color schemes. Still, the cabin looks luxurious and refined. However, you can upgrade this cabin with things like leather-covered surfaces, microsuede and carbon-fiber inserts and similar things. The Rebel TRX is offered exclusively in Crew Cab layout, with the short bed, and we presume that the leather-covered surfaces and a mix of microsuede and carbon fiber will continue in the same way.

Of course, we could also see more standard equipment, though we have to say that the current model already stands pretty well in this aspect. It comes standard with a 12.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, satellite radion, 19-speaker audio system etc.

2023 Ram Rebel TRX Release Date and Price

We expect that the 2023 Ram Rebel TRX will hit the market sometime in the second half of the year. The current model starts at around 77.500 dollars and we don’t expect a significant increase in the next year.
