2022 Dodge Demon Comeback Rumors

The Demon might come back! Those are the latest rumors that we can hear about one of the world’s fastest production cars ever. The initial model arrived a few years ago but it was limited to a certain period of production. Now, we are hearing reports about the re-start of the production, even though Dodge offers a couple of pretty amazing versions of the Challenger, including the SRT Super Stock model. Simply, we’ve all fallen in love with the Demon and there is no doubt that the sales would explode if this model comes back.

Also, we presume that the company wouldn’t change too many things, but we shouldn’t neglect rumors that suggest even more power this time. The officials are still quiet, so make sure to take the following paragraphs with a big reserve.

2022 Dodge Demon Design

As we’ve just mentioned, we could see a comeback of this monster, in the form of the 2022 Dodge Demon. If this happens, we presume that FCA won’t experiment too much and that most of the design characteristics would be the same. This includes the model’s (in)famous Demon Crate package, a special engine controller that helps unlock the engine’s full potential.

Visually, this model brings a couple of nice upgrades, but the overall look closely resembles the rest of the lineup.

Interior

The same thing is the interior, though the previous version was available in two variants. You had a choice between standard and stripped versions. The standard version would come with all the goodies you would expect from a contemporary car, including a power sunroof, heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated front seats. Of course, there are also various tech goodies, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto etc. On the other hand, there’s a stripped version of the Demon, without essentials like passenger and rear seats, power-adjustable steering wheel, audio system and other things that add weight.

2022 Dodge Demon Engine

Of course, the core of this version has always been the engine. That is a 6.2-liter Supercharged V8, commonly known as the Hellcat. In this version, the engine has been tuned up significantly and the max output goes up to 840 horsepower. However, the max output can be achieved only with the Crate package and 100-octane fuel. Without that, the engine can deliver around 807 horses, which is the same amount of power you get from the Super Stock version.

Performance-wise, the Demon is one of the fastest production cars ever made. It needs a little bit over 2.1 seconds to hit 60, which the ¼-mile time goes around 9.65 seconds.

2022 Dodge Demon Release Date

The actual chances to see the 2022 Dodge Demon are actually pretty small. Simply, we expect that Dodge management wants to keep this model extremely exclusive, something that could become an icon in the future. On the other hand, there are various performance versions of the Challenger in the offer, such as SRT, Redeye, Super Stock etc. So, we have no doubt that the most ambitious drivers will be satisfied with the offer.

Timothy

Timothy

Timothy has been an FCA enthusiast way before the two major companies merged. With an innate passion for muscle cars from the golden era, Ram trucks and anything that has a huge engine under the hood, it’s not hard to presume that Timothy is a true motorhead. On the other side, classic Italian sports cars have always had a special place in his heart, as a sense of style and sophistication is an integral part of his persona. For Timothy, FCA is a perfect match.
