The era of internal combustion engines is getting close to its end and there is no doubt that cars we used to know will soon disappear from the market. Soon enough, all manufacturers will turn to electrification and while there are logical reasons to approve such policy, many of use already started to feel nostalgic about good-old large displacement engines with eight or more cylinders. Therefore, many manufacturers feel it’s time for their swan song. FCA, now Stellantis, is one of them. That’s why we can’t describe how excited we are for the upcoming 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Ghoul.
The 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Ghoul will be one of the final versions of the legendary sedan, at least in the form we know. It will come with a significant power boost and feature the most powerful HEMI engine ever. Still, all that power won’t be the only upgrade. We will also see modifications in other aspects, such as suspension, chassis, styling etc.
2022 Dodge Charger SRT Ghoul Engine
Without any doubt, this is the most interesting part of the 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Ghoul. The new version will feature a so-called Hellephant engine, designed a few years ago for crate machines. This 426 engine is the most powerful HEMI unit we’ve ever seen.
From what we know so far, this 7.0-liter V8 engine will feature 950 pound-feet of torque. The exact horsepower is still unknown but we expect it will go around 1.000. That’s way more compared to the Challenger Demon, which features an 840-hp 6.2-liter unit. We can only imagine how fast this model will be.

Of course, the engine upgrade won’t be the only modification on this car. It will need all kinds of changes to handle this huge amount of power. From what we know so far, it will get a completely new suspension setup and additional chassis upgrades. We have no doubt it will also come with new upgrades, as well as with new tires.
Naturally, we also count on a full load of exclusive details, which will accentuate the model’s super powerful character. Besides already recognizable badges, the 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Ghoul will come standard with a Wide Body package and it will also feature a plethora of new parts, starting from a revised grille, new wheels, bumpers and much more. Naturally, we also expect to see a couple of exclusive color options.
Interior
At this point, it’s hard to talk about interior details, but we have no doubt that the 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Ghoul will come with a lot of exclusive details in this aspect as well. As you probably know, the Challenger Demon came without rear seats, while the passenger’s seat was optional. We won’t be surprised if we see the new Challenger in a similar layout. Still, keep in mind that we are talking about a four-door sedan and that would be a little bit strange to see such a vehicle without rear seats. More details should be known in the near future.
Other kinds of upgrades are expected as well. We count on a unique instrument cluster and a similar screen that can be found in Demon, which shows all kinds of performance parameters. Naturally, this version will feature a lot of unique features like seats, upholstery, color schemes and similar things.

We expect to see the 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Ghoul late in the year. At this point, we can only say it will come in very limited series, though the exact number is still unknown. On the other side, we know that the starting price will probably go around 200.000 dollars.
